Telehealth 📺
Practices can now schedule telehealth appointments from within NSight.
-
Telehealth Administration:
-
- Define custom telehealth appointment types through Schedule Settings (telehealth-15, NSight telehealth, etc.)
- For EMR-integrated customers, appointment types should be mirrored to NSight for auto-creation of telehealth appointments.
- Support for up to 10 participants per appointment
Tech details
-
- Chrome is the recommended browser for best experience, but also works well with Safari for mobile.
- INTERNET REQUIREMENTS: According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), video telemedicine requires a minimum download speed of 25 MB/s and a minimum upload speed of 3 MB/s. Depending on the number of devices simultaneously streaming content, latency, and other factors, higher download and upload speeds may be needed.
Practice/Provider Experience
-
- When a telehealth appointment type is selected while creating an appointment, the form will dynamically change to include all relevant details for a telehealth appointment.
- Telehealth appointments will appear like this. They can be edited or deleted at anytime before the appointment begins.
- If a provider joins before the patient, the provider can send a reminder email.
-
- In-appointment functionalties-
- Audio/Video controls (Provider cannot turn on patient's audio/video)
- Screen share (Full desktop, multi-screen, single window, etc.)
- Leave/Rejoin and End For All Paticipants options.
- Leave/Rejoin enables Practices to accomodate digital intake!
- "Time in Appointment" timer
- In-appointment functionalties-
- Telehealth calls can include up to 10 participants (users and patients)
Patient Experience
-
- Can join via Mobile or Desktop
- Chrome is the recommended browser for best experience, but also works well with Safari.
- Patient cannot join from multiple devices at once, but can easily switch while in a live appointment between desktop and mobile.
- Patient Appointment details/Reminder Email
-
- NON-EMR: When an appointment is scheduled through NSight, an email is sent to the patient (and other participants)
- EMR: When the appointment is synced with NSight (every 10 minutes, 30 days into the future), an email with the appointment information and meeting link is sent to the patient. Other participants must be added directly from NSight.
- If additional optional attendees are added by editing the appointment after creation, the email is sent to the new attendees upon saving the changes.
- Patient Info Verification before joining.
- The patient and any other optional attendees must verify the Date of Birth for the patient. After 3 failed attempts, they can only request to join the appointment. (Provider must admit any participant requesting access directly from inside the appointment)
- Patient Waiting Room- (if joining before the provider)
-
-
- Desktop View

Dictation
Providers can now dictate directly into NSight. Once captured, they can edit the dictation, and choose to include that in their documentation.
- Live Dictation in a Session- In dictation, the speaker is set to 1 and responds to punctuation appropriately.
- i.e. Terms like "Next paragraph" "period" "comma" will not be transcribed. The system will insert the punctuation.
Live Dictation in a Session- In dictation, the speaker is set to 1 and responds to punctuation appropriately.
Edit Summary/Dictation 📝
Once a summary has been generated or dictation captured, the provider can now edit the summary. They can do this anytime outside of a live session.
- Following an encounter, we use AI to generate a summary within less than 2 minutes.
- NOTE: Dictations are not summarized but instead will appear precisely as captured.
- Summary preview (including edits) will appear on the appointment card in the dashboard.

MEDNotes w/ Notelink 📓
At any time outside of a live session, the Provider can now build the documentation from within NSight and print, download, copy the text or even send directly to their EMR.
- Ability to edit any generated session summary or dictation from the appointment
- Selecting the checkbox next to the summary(ies) with change the button to show "Preview Document", unselecting will allow them to finish the appointment
- Appointments can be finished without generating documentation
- For NON-EMR customers, providers can download, copy, or print the documentation. They can also regenerate at any time.

- For EMR-integrated customers, the Encounter Summary Note can be sent to the EMR directly

-
- Exactly where the document appears in the EMR will vary. For Athena customers, it will appear in Recent documents as a "Consult Note."

Speaker Registration 🗣️
Users can now register up to 10 vocal profiles. Once registered, NSight will use the profiles to recognize a Speaker's voice and automatically label their dialogue in a transcription.
- From the Settings Page, a user can access the Speaker Registration wizard (multi-step flow) by selecting Add Profile.

- Vocal Profile Registration Wizard: Users should speak naturally for 30 seconds. They can tell a story or answer one of the prompts provided. They should not read from a script, as the tone, timbre, cadence, and other characteristics of our voices change while reading aloud.

- After registering a vocal profile, the user can select the other team members or providers most likely to be in the room with them.
- Selections will be offered as "Candidate Speakers" for Auto Labeling a transcript when the provider is identified.
- Up to 50 candidate speakers can be offered for a single session. However, the smaller number of candidate speakers that are passed in, the lower the chance of mislabeling speakers.

Speaker Labeling in a Transcript 🏷️
After the transcript has been processed, two methods of Speaker Labeling are available:
-
- Auto-Labeling (Assigning) of Registered Speakers: NSight will automatically apply speaker labels any registered speakers (from the Speaker Candidate's list)
- Manual Labeling/Re-labeling through Assigning Speaker
- Speaker label includes First and Last initials, and the full name above the dialogue bubble.

Skip a Session
Before beginning a Session (Intake, Exam, Dictation), the user can skip a session.
- The Skip button will appear on every session. The button will disappear once the session is started.
- When skipping a session, the user taken directly to the next session in the appointment.
- The user can not return/restart a skipped session

- Example of a skipped session seen from the transcription history view:

Delete a patient
Practices can now delete patients from the Patient List
- This is not available for EMR-integrated customers.

Known Bugs
- Please let us know of any bugs identified here.

Schedule Settings
Admins can now fully customize the information they require for creating appointments. These settings apply to all locations for the account. They can also hide any users, patients, providers, and appointment types from view in the app.
- Toggling off any section will remove that field from all app views. This includes filters, history, forms, and views.
- NOTE: When telehealth is enabled, specific fields are required. (see image below)

Transcription Settings
Admins can now customize the behavior of transcription, including the maximum "expected number of speakers" in an appointment and Live Diarization.
- Ability to set the maximum number of speakers for Speaker Diarization. The more accurate this is to the typical experience of the practice, the better!
- Ability to display Live Speaker Tracking (Speaker Diarization) for appointments. This is especially helpful for practices that choose to display NSight in full view of the patient during a live visit.
