List of terms and definitions used across AvodahMed and Nsight
Agile - A company in its early stages that is able to quickly adjust and make changes according to market trends and customer demands.
Care Prompt - Care Prompts are prompts that appear in Nsight when an ancillary service may be relevant for the patient. Care Prompts can be captured in real-time during the patient visit in the transcription phase.
Dashboard - The Dashboard refers to the page that automatically opens upon login which is in this case otherwise known as the Appointment page.
Early Adopter - A customer that is using a product in its early development stages. The customer embraces new technology playing a pivotal role in product enhancements through robust adoption.
EHR/EMR - An Electronic Health (Medical) Record is an electronic version of all patient medical history that is maintained by the provider over a period of time. It may include all key administrative clinical data of a patient including demographics, progress notes, problems, medication, etc. Examples include Athena, eCW, or Cerner.
Evaluation & Management (E/M Time Complexity) - E/M Time Complexity is a new feature in Nsight 2.0 that evaluates the information available to us from the transcription to surface relevant information to better inform the E/M code associated with time spent in a visit, according to the Evaluation and Management Guidelines.
Integration - The process of combining one software application with another typically through their application programming interfaces (APIs). An example of an integration we already have is between Athena and Nsight.
MPI Report (Patient List) - The Master Patient Index Report is a complete list of all patients at an organization including detailed information such as contact information and demographics.
Nsight - Nsight is an ambient clinical intelligence platform powered by AvodahMed that transforms the provider/patient experience and improves provider wellness. Nsight actively records and summarizes healthcare appointments in real-time. Nsight is able to virtually enhance appointment scheduling, transcription, and summarization allowing you to spend more time focusing on the patient.
Patient Card - The Patient Card refers to the card that appears on the appointment page. This card will include information like the appointment's assigned provider and patient, as well as the date, time, and chief complaint.
Quick Start - Quick Start is a new feature in Nsight 2.0 that will allow providers or staff to quickly begin appointments. This is especially helpful for same-day or walk-in appointments. The only requirement for Quick Start is to have the patient already created in Nsight.
Voice Profile - Users in Nsight are able to record a short 30-second voice recording which will be saved as their Voice Profile. When Voice Profiles are recorded in an Nsight user’s account, their voice will be recognized when recording transcriptions and dictations.
Workflow - A "workflow" refers to the steps within each encounter in Nsight that occurs between provider (or MA), and patient. These will be listed out in each appointment in Nsight.
Here is an example of a workflow in Nsight:
- Visit
- Provider Note
In this scenario, the Visit section is designated for the provider/patient encounter where a transcription is recorded and a summary (SOAP Note) is generated. The Provider Note is where the provider's dictation occurs. A summary can only be generated in the Visit section of an appointment.
